Lieutenant Colonel Nikhil Dewanji is a graduate from Holkar Science College, Indore and then joined 3 Mechanised infantry (1/8 GR). A DSSC qualified officer, he has been a part of the National Security Guard, and also served in Somalia, as a part of the UN Peacekeeping Operation. After 24 years in the Army, he took premature retirement and was initially heading the Human Resources departments of some companies in Indore. He launched Niks Academy as a unique institution which motivates, guides, mentors and trains young boys and girls to join the adventurous, challenging and honourable life as an Armed Forces Officer. In recognition of the sacrifice of martyrs, training in Niks Academy is free for Veer Naris and children of Battle Casualties and physical casualties.
