The Garuds were raised as a commando force within the Indian Air Force, to add to airbase security, and also take on special tasks as a part of air operations. They played a major role in a counter terror operation in Hajin, in J&K, in November 2017 when operating along with the Army. In this fictional account of the operation, the author builds the story leading to the action. Some of the names of the personalities have been changed. To bring in realism, the narrative has been adapted to actual places and events.
