Gp Capt TR Ravi VM (Retd), a Transport Pilot in the IAF has an accident / incident free aviation record during his entire flying career of close to 8000 hrs. He held the highest professional standards and was a Cat ‘A’ Flying Instructor and AEB Examiner on different transport aircraft. He had the privilege of being the first Flight Commander of the first C-17 Squadron of the IAF. He has also been the Chief Operations Officer at Yelahanka air base. He is a Distinguished Graduate in Aviation Resource Management from Keesler Air Force Base, USAF and has executed the ONLY heavy wide-bodied aircraft landing at Mechuka close to the Sino-Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh. Ravi was awarded with THREE STAR for an excellent Flight Safety Record and received commendations from Commander-in-Chief and Chief of Air Staff. He is a receipient of VAYU SENA MEDAL for outstanding service to the Nation.
