Late Brigadier Abraham Chacko (Retd), an alumnus from NDA, Pune joined 10 Para Commando in December 1970, and was in the forefront of the raids on Chachro, Virawah and Nagarparker in the 1971 War. He thereafter saw active service in many operations including in Sri Lanka and in Kashmir. He has been an instructor at DSSC, Wellington too. He passed away in early June 2021 due to Covid at Bengaluru.
