Brigadier Vikram Sharma, a 4th Generation
Officer, was commissioned into 5/5 GR (FF)
and has served in several challenging
operational areas. He is an alumnus of
Defence Services Staff College, Naval Higher
Command Course and National Defence
College. Besides commanding an Infantry
Brigade on the Western front, he has also
commanded the Indian Brigade deployed in
Congo as part of MONUSCO. He has
authored seven operational and strategic papers
related to the Democratic Republic of Congo
and MONUSCO. Vikram played a pivotal
role while leading the Tsunami relief
operations after the 2004 Asian Tsunami in
the Nicobar Islands.
