Brigadier Indrajeet Singh Gakhal (Retd), an alumnus of The
Bishops School, Pune and DAV College, Jalandhar has done
his Masters in History and Management Studies.
Commissioned into 1 SIKH in December 1973, he
commanded a SIKH unit on the Line of Control. He went on
to raise and command a Rashtriya Rifles Sector in Jammu &
Kashmir, and was wounded in action while in command. An
accomplished hockey player, he captained the Sikh Regiment
hockey team for several years. Before retirement, he was the
Commandant of the Sikh Regimental Centre. After
superannuation, he was the Managing Director of the Punjab
Exservicemen Corporation till 2021.
