Lieutenant General Ravin Khosla, UYSM,
AVSM, SM, VSM (retd) was commissioned
into the 5th Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force) in
December 85. He has served in counter
insurgency operations in Sri Lanka, J&K as
well as in the Northeast. He commanded his
unit in Shopian in J&K as well as in Port
Blair. He commanded a brigade and division on
the Line of Control and a Corps on the
Northern Borders. The officer has held several
prestigious command and staff appointments.
