Captain Nithin Cariappa, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Pune and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 2001. A Communication and Electronic Warfare specialist, he has served onboard warships in the Eastern and Western Seaboards. The officer has commanded INS Ajay and Kadmatt. His staff appointments include being the Naval Adviser at the High Commission of India, Islamabad. He is currently posted at the Naval Headquarters, New Delhi.
