Colonel Akshay Budhraja, an alumnus of
National Defence Academy, Pune was
commissioned into 16 Jammu & Kashmir Light
Infantry in December 1999. The officer has held
important command, staff and instructional
appointments in varied terrain and challenging
operational environments. He commanded his unit
at the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal
Pradesh. He has also served as an Instructor at
Commando Wing, Infantry School, and on Staff in
different formations. He holds a Master’s Degree in
Military Technology and Military Psychology. He is
currently tenanting the appointment of Deputy
Commander at an Independent Mountain Brigade
along the Line of Actual Control.
