Jaideep Saikia is a graduate of the Rashtriya Indian
Military College, Dehradun, St Stephen's College in
Delhi, and the University of Illinois at UrbanaChampaign, where he was a Ford Fellow. A security
and terrorism analyst based in Assam, he has
authored and/or edited several books, including, Terror Sans Frontiers: Islamist Militancy in North
East India; Bangladesh: Treading the Taliban Trail;
Frontier in Flames: North East India in Turmoil;
Terrorism: Patterns of Internationalisation; Mind
over Matter and Point of Impact. He is a
Distinguished Fellow of the Council for Strategic and
Defence Research, New Delhi, and is a Member,
Counterterrorism Advisory Board, Homeland Security
Today, USA. He was also a Senior Fellow,
Vivekananda International Foundation and Fellow of
West Point, USA in 2022.
