Major General Uma Shankar Dadu (Retd), an alumnus of the
56th NDA Course, was commissioned into The Bengal Sappers,
Corps of Engineers in June 1980. He was closely associated
with the College of Military Engineering, Pune, home to the
Army Rowing Node and has served as the Deputy
Commandant at the institution. Besides having attended the
Defence Services Staff Course at Wellington, he is also a post
graduate in engineering from IIT, Delhi. He has been actively
associated with the development of Infra Structure in the border
areas of Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern States.
