Colonel H K Jha (retd), an alumnus of Patna University, was commissioned into 3 JAT in December 1962. He served with the unit in the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak Wars, and also served in counter insurgency operations in Mizoram, Nagaland and in North East India.
