Major General Deepak Mehra, KC, AVSM, VSM (Retd), an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Pune was commissioned into 5 Gorkha Rifles (Frontier Force) in 1987. He has served as Military Attache in Embassy of India, Moscow, commanded a brigade in Kashmir and a division in North East India. An accomplished scholar, he specialises in Geopolitics with a focus on Russia Studies and is currently pursuing his PhD in the field, further enriching his depth of knowledge and global perspective.
