Colonel Mohan Rao was commissioned into the
SIKH LIGHT INFANTRY in September 2004.
He has tenanted important appointments such as
Instructor at the Indian Military Academy,
Dehradun, and a graded staff appointment in a
Rashtriya Rifles Sector Headquarters. He
commanded his unit along the Line of Control in
Jammu & Kashmir. He has also played squash for
India. Currently he is posted as the Commandant of
Army Sports Institute, Pune.
