Major General Vivek Venkatraman, VSM (Retd), an
alumnus of National Defence Academy, Pune was
commissioned into the Corps of Engineers. During his
distinguished career, he held key command, staff, and
instructional appointments, and commanded an Engineer
Regiment in high altitude and the Army HQ reserve
engineer brigade. He has attended the prestigious Higher
Defence and Management Course at Secunderabad and
the National Defence College Course at New Delhi. He
has also been the Chief Engineer of an operational
Command and Director General of Combat Engineers.
In addition, he has served in UN Peacekeeping mission
in Angola (UNAVEM III) and attended the
Command & General Staff Course in the Philippines.
