Captain Yogesh V Athawale, VSM, is an alumnus
of the National Defence Academy, Pune and the
Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. A
specialist in anti-submarine warfare, the officer has
tenanted a variety of command, staff and
instructional appointments in the Indian Navy.
During his service career, he has published numerous
articles on professional subjects and strategic affairs.
He is also a recipient of prizes in the USI Gold
Medal and IONS Open Essay competitions. The
officer is currently appointed to Naval War College,
Goa, as Directing Staff.
