(Retd) has been a Parachute Jump
Instructor at the Paratroopers Training
School, Agra and the Commandant at the
Garud Regimental Centre, Chandinagar.
He was a member of the Indian
Contingent that landed at Hulule Airport
to rescue President MA Gayuum (the
Maldives, November 1988). He has
authored a book titled, ‘Operation Cactus:
Anatomy of One of India’s Most Daring
Military Operations’ (Knowledge World,
New Delhi, 2017). He was the Episode
Consultant for a Discovery Channel
documentary on Operation Cactus based
on his book. He posts articles on a variety
