a third generation Cavalry officer was commissioned into POONA HORSE in April 1971 and fought in the 1971 Indo-Pak war with the regiment. He was wounded during an air attack on 14 December. An alumnus of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, he has commanded an armoured regiment and an infantry brigade. He has held various command, instructional and staff appointments during his over 33 years of army service. Post retirement, he worked in a public sector bank for six years and in the corporate environment for eight years. He resides in Gurugram (Haryana).
